The World Brand Lab (WBL) has recently unveiled the 9th edition of Chinas 500 Most Valuable Brands. As a result, Yuchai ranked 106th with a value of 12.165 billion yuan, a place up from last year, topping 10 billion yuan for the first time.
Brand value evaluation has become increasingly important due to needs of a series of activities including financing, merger, credit building and development. It can not only provide basis for corporate annexation and pricing, but also boost corporate influence, enhance consumers loyalty and enable enterprises to know the environment of market competition.
Observation results of the WBL over the past nine years show the management focus of Chinese outstanding enterprises has shifted from brand valuing to brand building and brand management planning.
As an independent engine enterprise, Yuchai has been pushing forward brand building. Since 2005, it has been committed to enhancing brand gene by technologies, increasing quality by lean manufacturing and improving management capacity by international standards, stood the test of the global economic crisis and grown continuously and healthily. It has won honors including Chinese Brand Award of the Year, Chinas Top 10 Independent Innovation Brands, Chinas Top 500 Brands, Customer Satisfaction Products, Chinese Brand Image Award over Six Decades, Outstanding Chinese National Brands and Influential Chinese Engine Enterprise Brands Over a Decade. Since 2011, Yuchai has further intensified brand strategy planning and building, mapped out the new mission of making the trust of partners and the public more valuable and the core brand value of integrity, lean and respect, thus opening a new journey of brand internationalization, continuously enhancing Yuchais brand influence and increasing its brand value from 7.119 billion yuan in 2004 to 12.165 billion yuan in 2012.
