On October 9, Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI) passed the assessment of Guangxis engineering technical research centers in 2012 organized by the Science & Technology Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Involved in the assessment were 83 autonomous region engineering technical research centers approved before 2011. Consequently, 76 engineering technical research centers including YHIs were qualified, and seven others were unqualified.

As an entity for the construction of small and medium-sized technical research centers of construction machinery engineering in Guangxi, YHI has played a significant role in the engineered, supporting and industrialized development of generic and key technologies in the industry and Guangxi, transformed and popularized an array of new technologies and achievements, promoted technology exchanges and talent training, provided technical support for the development of Guangxis relevant industries, yielded good economic and social benefits, and accomplished the task of engineering technical center construction.
