Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) has unveiled projects under the national key new product program for 2012, among which the YC35SR tailless hydraulic excavator project of Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI) was listed. The MOST will appropriately subsidize the projects under the program.

YC35SR is a model independently researched and developed by YHI and up to advanced international standards. It uses the mature and reliable central throttle control hydraulic system and good matching technologies; is characterized by strong power, low fuel consumption, low noise, small vibration and compact structure; and carries an anti-impact shock absorber to avoid impact and collision against the engine and related parts; in tailless rear zero-rotation design, it can operates well narrow environment; great innovation has been made in overall layout, appearance and modeling, working mechanism, cab and main covering parts, and significant improvements have been made in structural strength, operation comfort and appearance quality; multiple accessories are available to serve several purposes. In 2010, the project passed Guangxis scientific and technological achievement appraisal and was listed among Guangxis scientific research and technological development projects.

Since being launched in the market, YC35SR has rapidly occupied the market by its characteristics such as high efficiency, energy conservation and high reliability, forcefully resisted the impact from international branded excavators, and boosted the development and technical progress of excavator parts manufacturers.
