On January 7, Yuchai R & D Center held a meeting to arrange the R & D work for 2013. Wu Qiwei, general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai), was present and gave instructions.

At the meeting, Wu publicize Yuchais business principle and objective for 2013 to the R & D management staff, making arrangements for the implementation of the work plans on the new business target, specific income, and technology and R & D. He stressed product R & D should blossom and yield fruit in 2013. All sectors should refine work according to the companys annual business principle and objective, focus on optimizing original product development, increasing quality and seizing opportunities by quality products to win more markets and customers; and should grasp sources, maintain quality, unify processes rigorously, ensure process consistency control, popularize and apply innovative and effective new product review methods and technological achievements.

Lin Zhiqiang, chief engineer of Yuchai and president of Yuchai R & D Center, arranged the R & D work for 2013, requiring that all departments, institutions and sectors should work out detailed work plans and strictly advance these plans by node to ensure the accomplishment of the annual R & D objective.
