On March 3, the 2nd Session of the 12th CPPCC National Committee opened in Beijing, raising the curtain of the NPC and CPPCC annual sessions. As NPC deputies, Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group and Yu Tianliang, a staff member of Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YMP) shouldered the heavy trust and brought the staff's voice and the people's livelihood to the sessions.
For many years, Yan has paid constant attention to the difficulty and hot topics of state-owned enterprise reforms. This year, he stayed focused on state-owned enterprise reforms. He thought, to further deepen reforms, besides exploration in such aspects as operation systems and mechanisms, management innovation, technological innovation and talent team building, enterprises should deeply understand the important ideas proposed by the central government such as "giving play to the decisive role of the market in resource allocation" and "developing the sector of mixed ownership", actively establish the modern enterprise system, optimize governance structures, introduce strategic cooperation, comprehensively advance the multi-level reforms of property systems, management systems and distribution systems, and release the vitality of corporate development through reforms.
Referring to the "bottleneck" encountered by many enterprises, Yan thought, on the basis of looking into industrial actualities and corporate difficulties, every enterprise should seize the superb opportunity that the country is deepening reforms, duly initiate "second startup", promote corporate transformation and upgrading through entrepreneurship and innovation, achieve leaps and grow strong.
As the representative of grass-roots staff, Yu paid more attention to the people's livelihood. In the sessions, his proposal covered a wide range of issues such as transforming outmoded customs and habits, and reducing "debts of gratitude" in the countryside; simplifying the formalities for family planning certification of the floating population; and incorporating all construction workers into labor employment relationship. The proposal conveyed the voice of the grass-roots masses.
