GXEA Deputy Director-General Huang Zuqiao leads delegation to survey Yuchai

On March 20, Huang Zuqiao, deputy director-general of the Energy Administration of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GXEA), led a delegation to survey Jinniu section of Yuchai PV Power Station of Guangxi Yuchai New Energy Co., Ltd. (YNE), listening to the introduction to the station's construction and operation. Gu Tangsheng, president of Yuchai Group and Feng Jinhua, general manager of YNE, warmly received the visitors.

With a designed operation period of 30 years, some 85 percent of generated power is for internal use by Yuchai Group and the rest is directly transmitted to power grids. The project can save standard coal by some 10,800 tons, carbon dioxide emission by some 26,924 tons, sulfur dioxide emission by some 810 tons, nitric oxide emission by 405 tons and dust emission by some 7,344 tons annually. The station has produced prominent effects of emission reduction and yielded substantial environmental benefit.

The station is a distributed roof PV power generation project which has gone into operation with the largest installed capacity ever in the country. Its capacity has exceeded the total capacity of all the previous "Golden Sun" projects of Guangxi. The project is of great demonstrative significance for Guangxi to explore the way to improve the capacity for sustained energy supply, thoroughly push forward building energy conservation and promote BIPV, and has provided precious experience for the construction of large distributed PV power stations in the country.

In the survey, Huang learned about the stations' existing problems as well as new roof resources available for PV station construction. The delegation spoke highly of the station's successful construction and standard operation, hoping that Yuchai Group would further enlarge the PV power generation project and other new energy projects and relevant government departments would continue offering strong support to similar projects.
