At the just-concluded China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition 2014, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. made its debut with five agricultural machinery engines, drawing close attention from visitors. Yuchai's booth was popular in the three-day exhibition.

According to Li Zhi, chief technical engineer of the Applied Development Department of Yuchai, three of the exhibits are newly launched engines featuring the air intake way of water inter-cooling. Water inter-cooling is an energy-conserving and environment-friendly technology conducive to power increase and emission reduction. The three water inter-cooling engines brought by Yuchai can increase power by some 60 percent under the action of turbocharging. The three products from YC4A series and YC4F series especially suits rice combines and small two-row corn combines.

According to Guan Qinghua, manager of Yuchai Henan Office, due to high reliability, service quality, good service and complete power range, Yuchai engines' market prospect is promising in Henan. Yuchai registered total sales of 110,000 units in Henan last year, including 80,000 units for agricultural machinery. To date, a dozen renowned agricultural machinery manufacturers in Henan such as Chery, Zhengzhou Sanzhong and Henan Qianli have chosen Yuchai engines. These new water inter-cooling engines are expected to sell well in Henan this year.

Aiming at the market in which the voice of environmental protection has been rising, Yuchai also brought YC6A230L-T30 diesel engine series meeting T3 emission requirements. Regarding this, Li said on the basis of complete product line, abundant material supply, fast market response and leading quality, Yuchai will also intensify the production of engines up to T3 emission standards from the second half of this year to fulfill its core cultural concept of "Green Development & Harmony Win-win".

With the prosperity of the agricultural machinery industry in recent years, application of Yuchai engines on agricultural machinery has become increasingly wide. Li said, "In the agricultural machinery field, Yuchai has set a good example for agricultural machinery diesel engines by its energy-conserving and environment-friendly turbocharging technology, and established a high-end brand image of high quality, low fuel consumption and good service, thus becoming the prioritized power supplier of a growing number of customers.

In 2013, Yuchai's sales of diesel engines specific to large agricultural machinery continued to grow rapidly, with its market share up 10 percent. Yuchai's sales of diesel engines specific to large wheeled tractors grew amid the market slump. And Yuchai's sales of diesel engines specific to wheat combines and corn combines continued the lead with a market share of over 60 percent.
