On May 17, the 3rd China Grand Awards for Industry, the highest award in the Chinese industry community, was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Yuchai Group won the Nomination Award in the China Grand Awards for Industry. Of the 41 enterprises winning the Awards, Yuchai Group is the sole one from Guangxi.

China Grand Awards for Industry is the highest award approved by the State Council for the industry community. The biannual event, known as the Oscar Award, is co-organized by the 12 national trade associations including China Federation of Industrial Economics. The award winners, which realize made in China and designed in China at the same time, represents the highest level of industrial development in China.

Yuchai Group deems green development, harmony and win-win situation as the core philosophy. In engine technology R&D, it keeps breast of the most advanced level in the world. It has taken 9 research tasks in the National 863 Program such as hybrid diesel engine for wagons and participated in making and revising 52 international standards, national standards and industrial standards. The project energy-efficient and environment-friendly key technologies of diesel engines and their industrialization won the 2nd prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress. Now recognized as an example for the Chinese industrial enterprises, Yuchai has made great contributions to the industrial development in China.
