Yuchai has recently delivered the launch conference of Dongfeng Liuqi national IV heavy-duty trucks across the country. National IV 8*4 lightweight Balong heavy-duty truck and Yuchai-powered Balong M7 tractor were launched.
Balong heavy-duty truck can operate in various working conditions and is more powerful and fuel-conserving with upgraded Yuchai 315hp engine and 10JSD120TB transmission; Liuqi's four unique advanced processes and domestic largest luxury driving cab--M53 allow full rein to the truck's superior reliability and comfort.
As a fine model of Dongfeng Liuqi, M7 has been popular with customers. The launch of M7 powered by Yuchai's 10L golden power--new-generation heavy-duty engine YC6MK400-42 has provided a new choice to customers. The high reliability and low fuel consumption of Yuchai products will provide better customer experience.
According to sources, since the national IV emission standard came into effect last July, the domestic truck industry has gradually quickened the pace of upgrading. The customers who previously took a wait-and-see attitude towards national IV vehicles found they are more fuel-conserving and efficient after learning about the performance of Liuqi's national IV vehicles on the scene. Despite high purchase cost, they are more economical in the long term in terms of overall performance.
According to the strategy of Dongfeng Motor Group, high-speed lightweight logistics vehicle Balong M7C for standard-haulage transport only carried Dongkang 9.5L engine in the early days of launch. Due to its outstanding performance in such aspects as weight, power, comfort and safety, M7C got orders from a host of domestic express logistics enterprises.
However, Balong M7C has seemed to be unpopular as a Guangxi brand, especially in the southwestern market. To enhance its popularity, upon study, Dongfeng Liuqi announced at its 2014 annual business conference that M7 would carry YC6MK400 engine in view of its advantages such as strong power and complete parts.
Though the national IV emission standard for trucks which came into effect on July 1, 2013 is yet to be implemented nationwide, Dongfeng Liuqi insisted that the implementation scope of the national IV emission standard is being further expanded, adding that commercial vehicle manufacturers should make all-round preparations and begin to vigorously promote national IV products in 2014 with focus on express logistics and highway transport.
M7 was launched with the special mission of replacing imported vehicles for domestic long-distance logistics transport. Its launch shows Dongfeng Liuqi is paying increasing attention to the highway transport vehicle market and M7 will be Dongfeng Liuqi's mainstay in the future tractor market. M7's change to YC6MK400 engine is no accident. Cheng Yuan, general manager assistant of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd., noted the tractor has heavy and light versions, is highlighted by its M7 flat-floor driving cab and YC6MK400 engine, has a torque of 1,900NM, carries a Fast 12-gear transmission, has prominent advantages such as safety, reliability, fuel consumption and high efficiency, and is a leader among domestic heavy-duty trucks as well as a long-awaited truck for Guangxi's customers.
Dongfeng Liuqi holds a share of over 60 percent in Guangxi's truck market. M7 carrying YC6MK400 engine not only enjoys advantage in power choice, but also has gained emotional recognition from customers in Guangxi and the southwestern region.
