From November 19 to 20, Huang Daowei, member of the Standing Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and executive vice chairman of the Peoples Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, visited Yulin for a survey on its park construction, industrial development, fiscal and tax revenues, social security and rural financial reform. Accompanied by Wang Kai, secretary of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee, Huang visited the large marine power workshop of Engine Plant 6 under Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai Machinery). Wu Qiwei, general manager of Yuchai Machinery, briefed Huang and other leaders on Yuchai's production operation and construction of the large marine power workshop.

Huang also inquired about Yuchai's development plan, output value and sales. He noted that Yuchai should increase R & D input, and expand its marine power business in the context of the development of Xijiang and the coastal economy; should seize the opportunity to make innovation, train and introduce talents; and should step up transformation and upgrading, extend the upstream and downstream industry chains, intensify new product R & D, increase the added value of products, enhance brand popularity and boost the potential of corporate development.
