Han heads municipal midyear work conference delegation to Yuchai foundry center

On July 19, municipal leaders, including Han Yuanli, mayor of Yulin; Liu Zifu, deputy secretary of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee; Wu Kexiong, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Yulin Municipal Peoples Congress, headed a delegation of over 250 to Yuchain foundry center to inspect the progress of the second-phase project. General Manager Wu Qiwei, Deputy General Manager Ning Xingyong and Liang Qingyan and other leaders of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) received the delegation.

Wu briefed the delegation on the production of the first workshop of the foundry center and the progress of the second phase. The workshop has developed an annual capacity of 45,000 tons or about 220,000 units of cylinder body castings since going into operation in March 2010; the second phase of the center, launched in May 2010, is scheduled to be completed and go into trial production in the first quarter of 2012, and is expected to manufacture 38,000 tons or about 600,000 units of cylinder cover castings after going into production. Then, Yuchais casting output and quality will be boosted. Six production lines will be established in the center, and is expected to manufacture around 300,000 tons of castings for light, medium and heavy diesel engines with an annual output value of RMB 3.725 billion after going into production, thus becoming the worlds largest diesel engine casting manufacturing base.

Han was satisfied with the project progress of Yuchai foundry center, saying Yulin will continue to support project construction, hoping Yuchai will overcome difficulties, carry forward the fighting spirit in the first phase and renew efforts to advance project construction steadily.
