On July 26, the release conference for 2011 Study Report on Top 500 Chinese Machinery Manufacturers (Report) and Global Top 500 Machinery Manufacturers was held in Beijing. As a result, Yuchai ranked 19th among top 500 Chinese manufacturers and 29th among top 100 Chinese machinery brands, both one place up from last year, topping the list of Guangxi's enterprises.

This event was organized by China Machinery Enterprise Management Association (CMEMA) and jointly undertaken by the Research Institute of Machinery Industry Economic Management and World Executive Group. The Report conducts a comprehensive analysis and study of data such as sales income, total profit, return on assets and growth rate based on factors such as industry difference and prestige index, according to CVA designed by the World Company Lab (WCL) based on international practice.

According to a survey by WCL, the total sales revenues and profit of Top 500 Chinese Machinery Manufacturers 2011 were RMB 5.943109 trillion and RMB 483.131 billion, up 30.27% and 30.77% from the previous year respectively. In complex domestic and overseas economic environments, China's machinery industry has solidified and enlarged achievements in coping with the international financial crisis, accomplished rapid growth of production and sales, created new records in benefits and made great progress in restructuring. Particularly, 12 of the top 20 placers are automakers; the auto industry has maintained fast growth, has still made a great contribution to the machinery industry and national economy, and is the "engine" for the growth of the machinery industry in 2010.

Yuchai is an internal combustion engine manufacturing base as well as a small and medium-power full-hydraulic excavator manufacturer with the most complete spectrum of products in the country. It achieved sales revenues of over RMB 36.8 billion in 2010. In recent years, Yuchai has taken the lead at home in developing and manufacturing in volume National III, IV and V engines, and has developed China's first Euro VI sample engine, thus boosting its core competitiveness.

According to sources, 500 enterprises made the list of Top 500 Chinese Machinery Manufacturers 2011, which are from seven industries including general equipment manufacturing, transportation equipment manufacturing, electric machinery and equipment manufacturing, special equipment manufacturing, instrument, apparatus and cultural and office machinery manufacturing, metal products and general category. 81 Chinese enterprises made the list of Global Top 500 Machinery Manufacturers this year, ranking third in the world.
