Yuchai's swimming competition marking Yuchai's 60anniversary staged

On the afternoon of August 25, Yuchai's swimming competition marking Yuchai's 60th anniversary opened at Yuchai Aquatic Park (YAP). Nearly 500 staff members from over 20 units and departments entered the competition, which involved 11 disciplines such as 650m freestyle relay, 450m breaststroke relay, interesting relay, men's junior 100m freestyle individuals, men's junior 50m backstroke individuals, women's middle-aged 50m breaststroke individuals, women's junior 50m breaststroke individuals.   

Fish dive 

At YAP, competitors cleaved through the waves, fully demonstrating the fighting and teamwork spirit of Yuchai's staff. In the competition, as a traditional strong team, Yuchai Engine Plant 1 claimed two team titles and several individual titles, and Yuchai Foundry and Yuchai Machining Plant also displayed tremendous strength. The spectacular and soul-stirring competition presented a wide range of disciplines and brought together competitive swimmers, arousing bursts of cheer and applause.  

Competitors cleave through the waves

The interesting relay pushed the competition to the climax. In the competition, three swimmers (two men and a woman) formed a group. The female swimmer sit in a swimming ring holding a banner, and the two male swimmers, on the sides of the female swimmer, pushed her towards the end of the 50m pool, and handed the swimming ring and banner to the next group after touching the wall. On the one end of a lane, the male swimmers paddled hard to push the swimming ring forward, and the female swimmer in the ring kicked to force herself forward while keeping balance and holding firm the banner; on the other end, the next group has been poised for a relay. 

Interesting relay

Yuchai always attaches great importance to enriching and activating staff's sports and cultural life, to build up staff's bodies and delight them physically and mentally. In the competition, competitors from different units not only actively exchanged exercise experience and competition skills, deepened relations and promoted friendship, but also fully demonstrated the teamwork and fighting spirit of Yuchai's staff. All competitors undertook to continue exercises and take active part in Yuchai's cultural and sports activities.
