Yuchai makes staged summary of occupational skill contest 2011

Occupational skill contest is a major move to motivate technicians to research technologies diligently and improve the overall quality of laborers. Yuchai's occupational skill contest in 2011 has been more than half way. To further summarize experience and lessons from the contest, on August 17, Yuchai Training Center (YTC) organized a staged summary meeting, Director Wan Shenglan, Deputy Director Mo Xiqiang, as well as more than 30 assessors from all units under the group, were present.  

 

Meeting scene 

The contest involves 13 categories, of which crane operator (ground), grinder, bench worker, UG drawing for product design, CAD drawing for tool design and warehouse keeper were included in the contest for the first time. The contest will last more than four months, 11 categories have been completed, and the categories of warehouse keeper and founder are scheduled to be completed in early September. 

The assessors exchanged ideas on gains and losses, experience and lessons from contest organization, reflecting on, summarizing and discussing the contest from perspectives such as details of attention, elements of training, secret of success, difficulties overcome, future orientation and safety problems in the contest.

Hu Jiang, head of the fleet of Engine Plant 1, is an assessor of the category of internal combustion engine assembly and dismantlement. During contest organization, I best hope to see all units will go all-out for pre-training and make improvements through competition, he said. 

Huang Xiong, vice chairman of Yuchai Warehousing Co., Ltd., said, summaries and exchanges by the assessors present are of great help to the upcoming category of warehouse keeper, believing he will work more comprehensively on all links of organization. 

Wan said, the annual occupational contest is a major approach to promote the progress and improvement of technical talents, all the assessors should give all-round consideration to process of follow-up, overall arrangements and scope of knowledge in respect of categories in their charge. Only by constantly increasing the level of contest organization, will contestants benefit from the contest. 

According to sources, during the contest, YTC recorded video for operation processes of some categories, and will edit the video after the end of the contest to produce standard operation and process materials for future teaching.
