Yuchai holds 2012 campus recruitment presentation at HUST

On the afternoon of October 11, Yuchai held a campus recruitment presentation for 2012 at the academic hall on the ground floor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). General Manager Wu Qiwei and Chief Economist Wang Wei of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM); Hu Meng, deputy director-general of Yulin Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Jiang Xiangsong, director of the Talent Office of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee and deputy director-general of Yulin Municipal Science and Technology Bureau; Hu Guoqi, deputy chief engineer of YM and Huang Yi, manager of the HR Department of YM; as well as Liu Huimeng, dean of the School of Energy and Power Engineering of HUST were present.

More than 300 graduates from universities such as HUST, Wuhan University of Technology (WHUT), Central China Normal University and Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) attended the presentation, including graduates from cities like Xian. 

Wu and Wang communicated with graduates face to face as alumni. Wu systematically introduced Yuchai from such aspects as group overview, core competitiveness and development plan, saying Yuchai and HUST have maintained good relations. In 2010, to improve Yuchais levels of foundry and internal combustion engine development and establish a talent training base for the enterprise and the university, Yuchai and HUST concluded a strategic agreement, under which the two parties would carry out deep cooperation in such aspects as technological innovation, strategic cooperation management, talent training and exchange, foundry technology development and foundry material R & D and applications. Despite a remote location, Yuchai is not closed and backward in mind. He sincerely hoped the graduates will make up their mind to join Yuchai to achieve great success in the national industry.  

Wu enthusiastically answers applicants questions 

At the presentation, Wu interacted with graduates, answering their questions about Yuchais development plan, staff salaries and benefits, career development, talent training mechanism, prospect of liberal art graduates and Yuchais confidence in achieving annual sales of RMB 100 billion. 

Wang Youming, a financial graduate from the School of Economics of HUST, said he learned from his friend working in Guangxi that Yuchai is a domestically famous enterprise which provides a broad development platform, and hoped to join Yuchai to work on human resources. Wu Liujun, a graduate from HZAU with dual degrees in mechanical design and automation and HR management was impressed by Yuchai, often learned about Yuchai online, came for the presentation over three hours earliest and hoped to join Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited. Mrs. Qin also came as her son had no time for the presentation, who said her son majors in engine and she specially came here for knowledge of the recruitment fair in the hope that his son will join Yuchai after graduation. 

According to sources, the recruitment fair received 774 job resumes from students, which are from Wuhans key universities such as HUST, WHUT and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZNUFE) and major in mechanical design and automation, material modeling and control engineering, logistics management, accounting, etc. 

It is learned that Yuchais recruitment tour of Wuhans universities will run until October 16, and will involve recruitment presentations in universities like HUST, WHUT, ZNUFE and Wuhan Universities. 

Yuchai will carry out the campus recruitment campaign for 2012 at universities in several key cities like Wuhan, Changsha, Tianjin, Jilin, Beijing, Xian and Harbin, deliver a total of 44 campus recruitment presentations, and recruit outstanding talents in several key universities, especially HUST, Tianjin University, Jilin University and Harbin Engineering University. The campaign, which will offer nearly 1,000 jobs, will create extensive opportunities of job selection and development for university graduates in 2012.
