On December 7, Yuchai Sum-up and Commendation Meeting on 2011 Labor Contests was held at the meeting room on the third floor of Power Building to sum up bumper fruits yielded in the contest and commend advanced collectives and individuals that stood out. Among attending leaders were Li Tiansheng, vice chairman of Yuchai Group; Ning Xingyong, deputy general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM); Guo Deming, deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group and Liang Ping, chairman of the Labor Union of Yuchai Group.

From June to November, the Labor Union of Yuchai Group carried out the Ankang Organization Labor Contest, Quality Labor Contest and Equipment Maintenance Labor Contest, thereby achieving remarkable effects, effectively improving the occupational skills and technical quality of workers, creating a favorable atmosphere of advocating and learning skills, and laying a solid foundation for further perfecting the corporate talent training system, stepping up innovation and benefit creation, carrying out activities of professional quality education and sharpening competitiveness.
At the meeting, Li extended congratulations to commended advanced collectives and individuals, spoke highly of the companys labor contests, and required the group labor union to carry out diverse labor contests based on the companys TPM activities and shift & group building and spare no efforts in logistics support.
Also, Li raised three requirements for future labor contests. The company shall enhance its understanding of the role of contests, arouse personal potential, strengthen horizontal tensile force and overall resultant force, and form surging effects; shall enhance measures that produced actual effects in contests, value mode innovation, form a long-acting mechanism, pay attention to the infuse of effective systems and horizontal popularization of achievements; and shall broaden the study of contest scope, such as value optimization of design level, customer development in market operations and management service satisfaction evaluation.
