On February 9, the 16th day of the first lunar month, Yuchai Group made overall plans for fighting COVID-19 and ensuring production and operation through a video conference. President Yan Ping said all units should make “wartime” preparations and spare no effort to combat the disease and continue production and operation. He encouraged attendees to transform difficulties into motivation and see opportunities in challenges, working together to safeguard employees, maintain the stability of the group and accomplish goals.

According to Yan Ping, during the Spring Festival holiday, Yuchai Group thoroughly implemented measures and fulfilled requirements on COVID-19 prevention and control, which were made by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council and governments at different levels, and timely formulated a series of methods to fight the disease, which obtained remarkable fruits. Meanwhile, Yuchai Group asked foreign offices and partners to buy medical supplies overseas, which were later donated to units of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Yulin City working in the front line. These great contributions were highly praised by the CPC Party Committee and government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. After the Spring Festival holiday, the situation is still grim and the fight against the disease is full of difficulties, requiring great efforts. All units should intensify the prevention and control measures following demands and standards put forward by senior departments. Leaders should stick to their responsibilities and take care of their teams. Employees should protect themselves. All parts of the group need to make a concerted effort to combat COVID-19.

Yan Ping said, before the Spring Festival, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. received a swarm of orders on engines. After production resumption, all sectors and departments need to develop production and operation at full stretch, in a bid to accomplish annual goals as scheduled.

He emphasized that Yuchai Group entered a new phase in 2020, aiming to create new roles, start a new journey, obtain richer fruits and further internationalization. Facing a new environment, new opportunities and new goals, leaders of Yuchai Group should practice their skills following higher standards and stricter requirements, develop valuable capabilities, and become more passionate about doing business. They should be open-minded, brave to reform and responsible, jointly powering the group to achieve new leapfrog growth and stand fast in the international market.
