According to a source from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MHRSS), Yuchai's application for establishing the national benchwork skill master studio has been approved. This is Yuchai's first national skill master studio approved. According to the requirements of the notice issued by MHRSS and the Ministry of Finance, national finance will appropriate 100,000 yuan in a lump sum for studio building.

The project of the national skill master studio is aimed to give play to the role of high-skill leading talents in tutoring, renovate the mode of high-skill talent training and improve the capacity for high-skill talent training. According to the regulations, the special subsidy appropriated this time will mainly be used for purchase of training equipment and facilities, skill exchange and popularization, etc.

According to the application requirements, skill masters should be top-notched talents with exquisite skills, strong innovation and creation abilities and great social influence in certain industries (fields). Also, they must have rich experience in tutoring and have won honors such as "China Skill Award" or "National Skill Master".

Yuchai's national skill master studio was declared in the name of senior die maker Chen Jinyuan. He took up a job in 1969, now acts as chief skill master and senior die expert of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. and chairman of Yuchai Technician Association and president of Yuchai Science & Technology Association. As a senior professional in die design, manufacturing and commissioning as well as a leader in air channel and die technologies; he is skilled in air channel and dies technologies of diesel engines. Due to his outstanding performance in work, he has won honors such as the second prize of the 3rd national award for outstanding technical innovation achievements of workers and the first prize of the 3rd award for outstanding technical innovation achievements of workers in Guangxi, National Labor Medal and national technical master. Also, he is a skill expert enjoying the special allowance from the State Council in 2008.

According to Chen, organized by the training center, the corporate skill master studio led by him was established initially in 2011. This year, the studio has applied to MHRSS for the status of national skill master studio this year.

Chen said. "Yuchai values the training of this team and the successful application for the status of national skill master studio has increased our responsibility. We have organized skill talents for field studies and investigations at Xu Zhenchao Skill Master Studio, too. Next, we will, in light of Yuchai's actualities, work out the annual work plan of the studio for the next year, properly select innovation and benefit-creating projects and organize studio staff for technical quality research and innovation.

According to the source, to further promote the construction of the group skill master studio and give full play to the role of chief skill masters and specialized skill masters in technical quality research, skill teaching, delivery and training, Yuchai released the Implementation Plan of Yuchai Group for Skill Master Studio in 2013 in early May. The successful application for status of national skill master studio will play a positive role in promoting Yuchai to build a first-class industrial worker team.
