Content: With the intensification of industrial service competition and the increase in sales of electronically-controlled engines, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai Machinery) has raised new higher requirements for capabilities of service stations and comprehensive quality and skill level of service workers. On October 23, the final of Yuchai 2013 Service Skill Contest was staged at the customer service center of the sales company. 30 contestants who had stood out of preliminaries in six regions including Central China, East China and South China competed at Yuchai's headquarters, displaying their rational knowledge of national IV diesel engines and gas engines. After the three-day final, a first prize winner, three second prize winners and six third prize winners will be unveiled, and an bonus of 20,000 yuan, 10,000 yuan and 5,000 yuan will be awarded respectively.
On October 23, the final of 2013 Yuchai Service Skill Contest opened at the customer service center of the sales company. 30 outstanding contestants who had stood out of preliminaries in six regions including Central China, East China and South China competed in theoretical knowledge and service skills. The main purpose of the contest was to reviewing and assessing stations' capabilities of electronic control service for national IV diesel engines, as well as their gas engine knowledge and skills, to cope with the advent of national IV diesel engines and gas engines.
In the morning, the customer service center of the sales company delivered a brief opening ceremony. Present were Tan Guirong and Gao Qiang, assistants to general manager of Yuchai Machinery; Cui Huabiao, deputy chief engineer of Yuchai Machinery; relevant leaders of the company's marketing service, technical and quality departments; as well as judges, working staff and the contestants.
O behalf of the company, Tan extended warm welcome to the contestants, saying they who had stood out preliminaries in respective regions and made it to the final represent Yuchai's service level. Sales of electronically-controlled engines are increasing gradually, electronically-controlled engines have been widely used on buses, the truck sector will fully switch to the era of electronic control on January 1, 2014, and gas engine sales have increased substantially, too. Thus, whoever masters electronic control skills first will have a larger business volume and be more competitive. Next we will focus on developing methods and means of fault diagnosis to increase service stations' efficiency in this respect.

Since last year, Yuchai Machinery has invested heavily in national IV diesel engine and national V gas engine service skill training, with emphasis on the truck field. This year, we have also emphasized on training and improving capabilities of service stations not in central cities for electronic control service, especially in areas where large numbers of trucks are powered by electronically-controlled engines.
According to sources, the contest is held biannually and this year sees its third edition. The three-day contest has received strong support from hosts of service workers, with the participation of over 200 service technicians from 168 service stations in 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. Besides, bonuses were higher compared to previous years. A first prize winner, three second prize winners and six third prize winners will be awarded with a bonus of 20,000 yuan, 10,000 yuan and 5,000 yuan respectively.
