On the morning of April 18, accompanied by Jin Xiangjun, secretary of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee, Xie Guoming, deputy chief editor of Peoples Daily, headed to Yuchai for a survey and interview. Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group, received Xie.

At Yuchai, Xie visited its modern engine line, showing great interest in how Yuchai developed through independent innovation and became the industrial leader. Yan introduced Yuchais achievements in recent years, especially its leading advantages in such aspects as engine R & D and production, and said independent innovation had promoted the rapid and healthy development of Yuchai. Yuchai attaches great importance to technical innovation and product R & D, has built an R & D platform to develop the countrys most complete range of engine products, has owned three core technical platforms--combustion technology platform, electric control technology platform and powertrain technology platform, developed the countrys first Euro VI diesel engine in 2011, and has always kept pace with advanced world standards. Yuchais advanced engine production line has provided guarantee for building quality engine products.

Xie was delighted about Yuchais development, admired its independent innovation, said Yuchai had impressed him deeply, and undertook to cover Yuchais independent innovation.
