On September 19, the first sample YC4GZ089 sugarcane cutter of Yuchai Power Machinery Co., Ltd. (YPM) rolled offline. The machine was designed and developed through finishing and system optimization, on the basis of YC4GZ100 designed and developed in 2011.

The model uses optimization technologies including header system driving by hydraulic motor, hydrostatic continuously variable traveling control and rear wheel hydraulic steering, is easier to manipulate without sacrificing cutting efficiency, and is nearly 1,000kg lighter than the previous generation in dead weight.

The model will be trial-manufactured in small volume this autumn, according to sources.
