On the afternoon of October 18, China-ASEAN (Nanning) Fishery Culture Week 2012, themed Industry, Leisure, Culture, Sport, opened in Nanning, Guangxi. Yuchai appeared with large CNG mono-fuel marine engine and dual-fuel marine engine including YC6T and YC6C, coming under the spotlight at the exhibition.

China-ASEAN (Nanning) Fishery Culture Week is a major cultural and business gathering for fishery-related industries organized by relevant departments, including the Aquaculture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinarian Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Bureau of Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture, the General Administration of Sport of China and the China Fisheries Association. Since the success of the first edition last year, the event will be hosted in Nanning for five consecutive years, with the aim of pushing forward China-ASEAN modern fishery exchanges and cooperation, and accelerating the development of Guangxis modern fisheries.

Guangxi is Chinas bridgehead leading to the ASEAN. Yuchai has been actively developing the ASEAN market by its geographical and technical advantages, and has made remarkable achievements in recent years. To date, Yuchai marine engines have spread all over the ASEAN and enjoyed large market shares in countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Myanmar. This time, Yuchai has drawn close attention from domestic and overseas participants. Li Jieren, director-general of the State Register of Fishing Vessel, visited Yuchai booth, inquiring into Yuchais exhibits and its domestic and overseas development this year. President Gu Tangsheng and Chief Engineer Shen Jie of Yuchai Group introduced Yuchai and its exhibits elaborately.

This time, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. participated with dual-fuel YC6C marine engine and CNG mono-fuel YC6T marine engine. The two models have been the quintessence of the company's large marine engines in recent years, especially YC6C that uses multi-point injection technology to boost power and optimize mission. The model burns diesel fuel when starting and stopping, uses an appropriate amount of diesel to ignite gas-air mixture in normal operations, with a maximum gas substitution rate of over 80 percent. Li acknowledged Yuchai's technical progress, encouraging it to renew efforts to achieve new success.

According to sources, during the event, a total of 35 entities and enterprises from inside and outside Guangxi signed investment and cooperation contracts for 20 projects, with a total value of 5.98 billion yuan.
