Good news has become recently from the China Association for Quality (CAQ), the Quality Improvement Office of the Quality Improvement Department of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) was listed among National Outstanding Quality Control Groups by CAQ, the All China Federation of Trade Unions, the China Association for Science and Technology and the All-China Womens Federation.

With 18 members, the office is responsible for processing engine quality information, investigating and analyzing major or mass faults of sold engines, and managing 40 quality improvement projects.

This year comes after YM set the objective of increasing quality by 100 percent within three years. To this end, this year, the office has paid close attention to group management, focused on all targets, flexibly attracted group members to take active part in quality control, constantly improved the capabilities of analyzing and solving practical problems and raised expertise and the level of quality control. Through great efforts, the group has achieved remarkable results: in the first ten months, the closing rate of reported quality problems and the closing rate of supervised major quality problems stood at 90.7 percent and 100 percent respectively.
