In the year of "snake", Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. got off to a flying start with booming production and sale. According to statistics, Yuchai sold over 50,000 engines in January, topping the list of diesel engine manufacturers. It is expected to receive orders for 140,000 units in the first quarter and has completed nearly 80,000 units so far.

Yuchai's Engine Plant 1 received orders for nearly 25,000 units in mid-January alone, registering an enormous increase from before. Facing such encouraging situation, the plant's management cadres and workers made concerted efforts, flexibly allocated human resources, and worked against the clock on the vehicle engine line, general engine line and heavy-duty engine line, thus achieving a year-on-year output increase of 78.3 percent. "Our production task is heavy and the general engine line is intense, we received orders for over 15,000 units in February," said Fan Yanghui, the plant's deputy manager in charge of production.
At the beginning of 2013, Engine Plant 2 called on its workers to "make every endeavor in the first quarter to get off a flying start in the New Year". The plant, of one mind, moved into action and worked around the clock. When being asked about the production situation, Wu Jing, the plant's deputy manager in charge of production, said excitedly, "We achieved success in all production lines in January with a record output."
The production of Engine Plant 3 was also intense, with a year-on-year increase of 275 percent in the output of key model YC6C marine engine. The remanufacturing project also achieved encouraging results, with a year-on-year increase of 185 percent in parts reuse value in January.
Besides, Yuchai's 115hp, 125hp, 140hp and 160hp agricultural machinery have enjoyed great popularity in the market, netting a lot of orders at the beginning of 2013.
An engine on the assembly line
News has kept poured in from abroad. YC4F engine registered a good start amid the market slump in Egypt. YC6MK375-40 engine passed India's BS-IV certification, implying the engine matching domestic 13.7m buses has opened the door of the Indian deluxe bus market. Yuchai's Bangladesh-Myanmar office, unwilling to lag behind, garnered an order for 600 J4120-T2-C engines matching heavy-duty trucks.
Meanwhile, the first batch of National V gas engines of Yuchai's Engine Plant 2 rolled offline and were delivered to three automakers including Anhui JAC Coaches Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Touring Car Co., Ltd.
At the beginning of the year of "snake", Yuchai's production and sale have shown great vitality, boosting the development of Yuchai's industrial sectors such as parts, logistics and vehicle trading.
