Yuchai's two NPC deputies attends NPC & CPPCC with public opinions

On March 3, the 1st session of the 12th CPPCC National Committee opened, raising the curtain of the NPC and CPPCC.

Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group and Yu Tianliang, an employee with Yuchai attended the sessions of the 12th NPC as deputies to the NPC. Before going to Beijing, they conducted in-depth surveys, preparing to bring the most real public voices to the NPC and CPPCC.

Yan made the Proposal on Subsidizing Medium & Heavy-duty Vehicles up to National IV Emission Standard. The proposal noted mass haze has become a big problem in north China in 2013 and the market inventory of vehicles is considered as the root of the maze. According to the statistics released by the state environmental protection department, the pollutants discharged by motor vehicles in the country in 2011 increased by 3.5 percent from those in 2010. Though the number of commercial vehicles is only one third of that of passenger vehicles, the emission and travelled distance of a single commercial vehicle are much higher than that of a single passenger vehicle, registering a high proportion of emission. Thus, formulating regulations and policies specific to commercial vehicle discharges should be placed high on the agenda of motor vehicle discharge control. Yan appealed to the nation to release the terminal purchase subsidy policy to drive the emission upgrading of medium & heavy-duty commercial vehicles through, sharpen the competitiveness of independent commercial vehicle brands, and further effectively control and reduce motor vehicle emissions.

As a grass-roots worker representative from Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd., Yu, in light of employment actualities, appealed to governments at all levels, institutions of higher education and all social classes to advocate correct employment concepts, promote talent growth, advance the rational distribution of industrial talents to meet the need of national and social development for multi-level talents, facilitate the growth of the talents born in the 1980s and 1990s and build multi-level, multi-region and multi-field young talent teams, thereby providing guarantee for China to build a moderately prosperous society in an all-round manner.
