On April 18, Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YMP) dispatched the first 58 engine to Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipyard. The engine weighing over 280 tons was hoisted by two 250t traveling cranes as the heaviest engine ever dispatched by YMP.

According to sources, the engine's seat, frame and cylinder were automatically welded and processed by YMP. This is also the first time that YMP has completed the automatic welding and processing of the three key parts of a diesel engine. During visiting YMP's construction site, Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipyard spoke highly of YMP's processing and welding quality and technical level, pledging more in-depth cooperation with YMP.
