Walter P. Groff Jr.second from the leftshows interest in Yuchai engines

On September 8 ^th, a team of the South West Research Institute of the US visited and held a meeting with Yuchai. The team members included the Vice President Walter P, Groff Jr., Director of the Engine Design and Development Department Mark Tussing,  the Chief Representative of  Beijing office Robert W. Burrahm, and the Senior Manager of the Beijing office Xi Mingmei.

     

"Excellent", all the guests said when they were asked their opinion about the workshop and laboratory of Yuchai. The guests visited the testing workshop, heavy duty machine processing workshop, and heavy duty machine testing workshop, accompanied by the Vice Director of Engine Research Institute of Yuchai Lin Zhiqiang. During the visit, the guest carefully inspected the research and development, production equipment of Yucai, and showed a great interest in Yucai's engines.

The guests and management team of Yuchai held a meeting to discuss cooperation and mutual development. Representatives of Yuchai Group included the Chief Manager Li Tiansheng, Vice Chief Executive Manager Liang Heping, the Director of the Engine Research Institute Zhou Bin, and the President of Gaoyui Chen Huiwen. During the meeting, both sides exchanged the ideas on technology and development of lubrication oil. Li Tiansheng welcomed the guest and gave a brief intrduciton to Yuchai. He expressed the wish of cooperation and mutual development with South West Research Institute of the US. Walter also wished to cooperate with Yuchai and help Yuchai on technical improvement. He said: "we are ready for challenge and confident of a win-win cooperation."
