As the leader of China 's internal combustion engine industry, Yuchai always takes the corporate social responsibility in its whole development history. Yuchai dedicates itself to building a national brand, growing the business, as well as actively contributing to society and promoting the sound and harmonious society construction by fulfilling social responsibilities, for the benefits of the shareholders and society.  

In June 2008, the first social responsibility report in the internal combustion engine industry was released by Yuchai Group. It was the first social responsibility report for the western region and became the only enterprise from the western region of China . It attracted a lot of attention from the United Nations "Global Compact" Office. 

In recent years, Yuchai Group took part in a variety of charity donation activities  to share its business fruits with the whole society. Since 2002, Yuchai has donated over 60 million Yuan to the charity. In 2008, in the blizzard disaster in the South China and Sichuan earthquake, Yuchai immediately responded to the rescue efforts. In Feb. during  the severe blizzard disaster, Yuchai Group made 16 power generating units at the fastest speed in the history and sent them to the areas hit by disaster, along with 110,000 Yuan and a large amount of clothes. After the Sichuan earthquake, a total of 15 million Yuan has been donated by Yuchai Group. On August 22, the Songtao Yuchai Hope Elementary School in Ziyang City of Sichuan Province that Yuchai Group contributed 1.5 million Yuan, laid the construction foundation. Yuchai Group further donated 2 excavators and 6 generating unit groups to the Ziyang City , worthy of 1.48 million Yuan.

After more than 50 years development, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group has been developed from a single plant into a multi-regional, cross-industrial, multi-category and diversified business group. It achieved unified group operation, combining the investment and operation control.   

In 2007, Yuchai proposed the core value of excellent quality & globalized Yuchai. It  is: by integrating the excellent team quality, corporate cultural quality, excellent product quality and service quality to enhance the core competitiveness of the company; and to explore the international market, speed up the globalization process and become a large international corporation with the high quality of made in China .

In order to achieve the objective, Yuchai has done a large scale reform on the structure of Yuchai Group, developed from a single diesel engine product sector into six sectors, i.e. diesel engine, construction machinery, automotive chemicals, logistics, special purpose vehicles, auto parts.   

As Yuchai Group maintains a continual strong growth, we believed that, a new Yuchai with more robust strength, more  responsibility  to society will appear in near future. It will make more service to the harmonious society construction.
