Traditionally, the cumbersome diesel engine was unable to win the favor of the passenger carmakers because it had a variety of disadvantages, such as the lower power per liter index, high noise and vibration, heavy smoke and carbon particles. However, with recent development in diesel technology, particularly the progress in small high-speed diesel engines, for instance the Shuanghuan diesel engines used for Shuanghuan SCEO, the diesel engine has enjoyed popularity in the market. The engine resolved the defects of diesel engines while still kept the good features of diesel.
