On November 9, the Award Ceremony for Outstanding Figure of China's Auto Industry was held in Tianjin . Chairman of the Board of Yuchai Yan Ping, vice chairman of the Board of Yuchai and general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. Li Tiansheng, deputy general manager Liang Heping, senior technology consultant to chairman and president of Yuchai Engineering Research Institute Zuo Bin, senior technology consultant Li Qin and chief expert of Yuchai Engineering Research Institute Zuo Songfang were awarded the Outstanding Figures of China's Auto Industry title.  

Yan Ping and others are the pilots of the progress of Yuchai. Since Yan Ping came to Yuchai in 2005, the company has gained innovations in terms of corporate culture, management, product and technology. Its annual operation index grows at an averages rate of 37%, much higher than the average growth in the industry.The brand value of Yuchai was increased to 6.358 billion Yuan in 2008 from 4.337 billion Yuan in 2005. For the past decades, Li Tiansheng, Liang Heping and Zuo Songfang have been engaged in the management and technical innovations, made huge efforts for the development of Yuchail. Zuo Bin is an electronic control expert. Li Qin is an exhaust after-treatment expert. Li Qin has led the R&D team to develop the 1^st home made State IV diesel engine in China .
