Yan Ping speaks at the tea party

Representative of Retirees thanks the company

On January 15 and 16, 2009, Yan Ping, Li Tiansheng, Gu tangsheng, Zhang Jiasha and other leaders attended the tea parties with retirees, model workers and outstanding female employees  of Yuchai.  

On 15, after extending New Year greetings to retirees, chairman of the Board of Yuchai Group Yan Ping said emotionally: he had been at Yuchai for 5 years and witnessed the retirees contributions to the huge changes of Yuchai in the period. He thanked them for their huge contribution. He stressed: the operation of the company was impacted by the financial crisis. He hoped the retirees understand and support the company.     

Qin Maowei, a retiree on behalf of all retired staff said that they were happy to be members of Yuchai. They thanked the care of leaders to them, congratulated the accomplishment of the goal of to build another Yuchai in 3 years and wished the company a more prosperous future.

At another Spring Festival tea party on 16, Yan Ping expressed his cordial greetings to Yuchai model workers and outstanding female employees. He said that the achievements of 20 billion sales revenues and the goal of to build another Yuchai in 3 years were inseparable from the efforts of the whole staff, in particular, the service of the model workers and outstanding female employees.  He made three wishes to them: 1. to tackle financial crisis with easiness, dig out the opportunity in the crisis and the potential of Yuchai and build up confidence; 2. to understand the companys handling of contract-expired workers, because its a needed response to the crisis. Once the economy recovers, the company will put priority to them in recruitment; 3. to pay attention to the corporate culture building to increase the overall cultural sense of the company. The continuing improvement of corporate culture will enhance the feeling of belonging and self recognition among employees. Its not a minor matter for an enterprise to succeed.   

The model workers and outstanding female employees also made suggestions and advice to the development of Yuchai. At the end of the tea party, leaders of the Group and other attendants had a drink to cheer for a better Yuchai in the coming New Year!
