The Research Report on Top 500 Machinery Enterprises of China of 2008 was released recently. Yuchai Group ranks the 22^nd, up 2 places from the previous year.  

The selection was hosted by the China Machinery Industry Enterprise Management Association and co-sponsored by World Executive Weekly, the World Corporate Laboratory and Institute of Machinery Industry & Economic Management. It applied the model of Competitiveness Value Added (CVA) standard that is an international practice designed by WCL, to conduct a comprehensive analysis on enterprise data, combining with industry differences, reputation index and other factors to rate Top 500 Machinery Enterprises of China.   

In 2007, the sales income of Yuchai reached 18.35 billion Yuan. And a total of 500, 0000 diesel engines were sold. Yuchai hold the top position in China for the past 7 years in a row and the champion of single-plant production and sales of the world. In 2008, the sales reached 20.84 billion Yuan. The production and sales of diesel engines reached 550 thousands, a rise of 105.36%. Apart from diesel products, Yuchai Group had also made remarkable development in construction machinery, special purpose vehicle, lubricant & chemical industry, automobile parts, trade & logistics.
