Since the beginning of spring, the orders for Yuchai engines have been increased sharply. Yuchai workshops are busy again. In Feb. alone, the orders for Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. reached 50, 000 engines, a record high in the same period. The plants have been working with their full capacity to meet the production need after the Chinese New Year.

Chairman of Yuchai Group Yan Ping paid great attention to the production. He kept visiting the front line of production, doing research, and having face-to-face talks with workers. Apart from understanding the production progress and difficulties, he paid close attention to the voice of workers.   

In 2008, Yuchai Group ended the year with a striking sales income of 20.988 billion Yuan by hard work. For the 1^st time, the sales surpassed 20 billion Yuan. It means that Yuchai achieved the goal of to build another Yuchai in 3 years. Compared to 2005, the sales income grew at a high rate of 72.9%.The sales volume of engines reached 55, 000, a rise of 105.36%, maintaining the top place in the domestic industry for past straight 8 years. It achieved a double digital growth for the past 8 years. It provided foundation for fighting against the economic winter.  

Due to the stimulus plan of the central government, in spite of the severe financial crisis plus the market crisis, Yuchai saw an increasing number of orders that shows that the stimulus of the central government is a historic opportunity. Its very important for Yuchai to work hard to take this opportunity and achieved the goals of the first quarter, in preparation for the achievement of annual goals.
