Vice chairman of Yuchai Group and general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. Li Tiansheng was awarded the Chinese Industrial Economy Pioneer.

Good news came from the fifth Chinese Industrial Economic Forum that Yuchai Group won three awards. They are Chinese Industrial Economy Pioneer National Model Unit, Chinese Industrial Pioneer for Party Building for the company,  and the Chinese Industrial Economy Pioneer for vice chairman of Yuchai Group and general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. Li Tiansheng. On February 22, the Forum held the award ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing .  

2009 is the 60th anniversary of People's Republic of China . The impact of the financial tsunami is increasing. The Forum, featured with the theme innovation, optimization, breakthrough, development, called for calmness, objectiveness, optimism but no over optimism or pessimism. The prevailing view of the Forum believed that the crisis was intensifying, but China 's economic fundamentals do not change, and the innovation would be the critical tool to fight the crisis.

The Forum, sponsored by the China Federation of Industrial Economics, was co-hosted by China Industrial News, Party Building Department of the CPC Central Party School, China Enterprise Management Association of ScienceTechnology and Industry and the China Development Institute. Vice Chairman of the Tenth National People's Congress Standing Committee Gu Xiulian, senior vice president of China Federation of Industrial Economics and Director-General of China Enterprise Management Association of ScienceTechnology and Industry Xu Penghang, deputy minister of the Military Theory and Strategic Studies Department of PLA Institute of Science and Technology Mao Xinyu, superintendant of Institute of Industrial Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Lv Zheng, director general of Economic Bureau of CPC Central Committee Policy Research Office Li Lianzhong, counselor of the State Council Chen Quansheng, director of  Party Building Department of the Central Party School Wang Changjiang and president of China Industrial News Chen Wei, as well as other experts, attended the forum. The participants discussed on how enterprises should do to deal with financial crisis, the status of Chinese industry and development trend, and how to strengthen Party building, etc.  

In 2008, Yuchai Group ended the year with 20.988 billion Yuan sales income by hard work. For the 1^st time, the sales income surpassed 20 billion Yuan that shown that Yuchai achieved the goal of to build another Yuchai in 3 years. Because of these achievements, Yuchai was awarded as the Chinese Industrial Economy Pioneer National Model Unit", Chinese Industrial Economy Pioneer for the 2^nd time, as well as the newly set prize of Chinese industrial Pioneer for Party Building . Yuchai became a bright star that received the 3 highest honors of the Forum at the award winning ceremony.
