The Opening Ceremony

In the morning of February 27, before the 20th anniversary of the foundation of  Yuchai Heavy Industry, Construction Machinery Research Institute of Yuchai Heavy Industry and Yuchai Marketing Co., Ltd. were officially set up. It scored a milestone of the development of Yuchai Heavy Industry and opened a new chapter of the company.  

Chairman of the Board of Yuchai Group and chairmen of Yuchai Heavy Industry Yan Ping, leaders of Yuchai Heavy Industry, employees, representatives of distributors, as well as partners of the company attended the ceremony. Guangxi Economic Commission, Science and Technology Agency, Yuchai Group, 39 distributors and 16 suppliers sent flowers and congratulations.   

The opening ceremony, with the theme of Carrying the dream to fly, was hosted by executive vice-chairman and party secretary Zhang Shiyong. He read the appointment documents that appointed Liang Xiaodong and Bian Dejun the chief of Construction Machinery Research Institute of Yuchai Heavy Industry and general manager of Yuchai Marketing Co., Ltd respectively.

Speaking at the ceremony, Yan Ping firstly made points to the R & D and marketing work.  He said that the establishment of Construction Machinery Research Institute and Yuchai Marketing Co., Ltd. is a major event for both Yuchai Heavy Industry and Yuchai Group. Being the 2^nd largest sector of the Group, the R & D team of Yuchai Heavy Industry determines the life of the company and represents the hope of all employees of Yuchai Group and Yuchai Heavy Industry. The team should set up higher goals, take responsibility and target the world class level in order to create highly competitive products. Yuchai Heavy Industry has been pursuing the dream of 10 billion Yuan earnings that will shows that the product variety and R & D capability, reputation in the world and investment ability reach a new level. The current financial crisis on the industry is a double-edged sword. For that reason, the setup of Construction Machinery Research Institute will improve the competitiveness and develop new leading edge products. Also, the time of establishing Yuchai Marketing Co., Ltd. is very perfect. R & D and marketing are two inseparable wings of an enterprise. The leaders of marketing administration should pay great attention to the marketing. The marketing team should continue learning to build a loyal modernized marketing team. At present, the building of the marketing team still has a long way to go and we have to step up our efforts.

Regards to the human cancern and the building of corporate culture, Yan Ping said: the management team must safeguard the interests and legal rights of the staff and make decisions concerning the interests of employees. The corporate culture should be human-oriented based on fair and equality.  

Yan Ping proposed four wishes for Yuchai Heavy Industry: 1. the Yuchai Heavy Industry grow stronger and healthier; 2. Yuchai Heavy Industry management team improve their knowledge; 3. the management team work harder to meet the expectation of Yuchai Group and employees; 4. all employees would love the company, take the responsibility as their own to live up to the expectation of Yuchai Group.  

Finally, he declared : the victory belongs to Yuchai; the victory belongs to all employees of Yuchai!

General manager of Yuchai Heavy Industry Xia Yuwu, chief of Construction Machinery Research Institute Liang Xiaodong, and deputy general manager of Yuchai Heavy Industry and general manager of Yuchai Marketing Co., Ltd. Bian Dejun gave speeches respectively. They said: at the new starting point and new stage, the company would put new technology contents to the product, use available resources to build Yuchai Heavy Industry into a well known brand in Chinese construction machinery industry, set a model of national industry and achieve the 10 billion Yuan goal.  

Through the past 20 years development, Yuchai Heavy Industry has become the most sophisticated mid- and small- size hydraulic excavator manufacturer. Sticking to the green development and win-win in harmony concept, the company has a sales and service network covering over 30 countries and regions in 5 continents, as well as all provinces and autonomous regions of China that put the company on the top of the domestic excavator industry. The establishments of Ceremony of Construction Machinery Research Institute of Yuchai Heavy Industry and Yuchai Marketing Co., Ltd. marked a major change of business model and a critical step to strategic adjustment of Yuchai Heavy Industry, as well as the new starting point and platform. During the sound of celebrating gun shooting, 200 doves carrying the dream of Yuchai Heavy Industry flied to the high sky.
