Yuchai Machinery joins hands with truck makers for State IV special purpose vehicle market

jointly held the release of State IV special purpose vehicle at the Beijing Paradise Gloria Grand Hotel. Six new State IV special purpose vehicles--- the first group of home made States IV special purpose vehicle--- assembled with chassis and State IV engines of Yuchai were shown at the press conference. It means that

's enterprises have started the march of trucks to enter the State IV special purpose vehicle market.
According to report, Yuchai has already worked with a number of truck makers to develop State IV trucks. The State IV truck engines of Yuchai include YC6K, YC
6M
, YC
6L
and YC6J models with power from 180-550 hp. Among them, YC6K, aiming for modern high-speed high-end trucks and the high-end large luxurious bus, is an internationally advanced heavy-duty engine model with power from 390-550 hp. YC
6M
, YC
6L
and YC6J are developed from the sophisticated four-valve State III engines. Their emission standards are upgraded, and their major parts inherit the features of their predecessors. The peripherals installed size is similar to State III models. In addition, the development of other State IV products is under process and is projected to be released in a short time. Currently, the 4 models all adopt the wet cylinder structure. Their reliability is relatively higher and the maintenance costs are relatively low.
Beijing
has been implementing State IV emission standards. In 2009, the sales volume of State IV special purpose vehicles with Yuchai State IV engines is expected to exceed 1,
000 in
Beijing.
Being the only mature domestic State IV engine supplier, the products of Yuchai have served the National People's Congress and CPPCC Congress, as well as the Beijing Olympic Games. To explore the State IV truck market is one of the strategies of Yuchai to work with national truck manufacturers to deal with the financial crisis together. It will improve product competitiveness of Chinese truck makers, promote Chinese trucks export and contain the crisis impacts on Chinese automotive industry.
