Maintain growth and boost economic development

Yan Ping attended the major enterprises symposium that was co-hosted by Chinese Academy of Engineering and China Industry News

The symposium of major enterprises to deal with economic downturn was held at Chinese Academy of Engineering in the afternoon of March 11. Chairman of Yuchai board Yan Ping, on behalf of Yuchai, attended the symposium and made a speech.  

Entrepreneur representatives and Academicians had a warm and open-minded discuss around the theme of to maintain growth and boost economic development at the symposium. Speaking at the symposium Yan Ping briefed Yuchai and talked about his experience in the development of Yuchai. He said: Which way shall our industry take and our core competitiveness are the first and foremost issue that we should concern about. He put up 2 proposals: first the Academicians should support the R & D of engine that is the core component of vehicle; secondly he hoped that the country would implement the policy to accelerate auto industry. In addition, he invited president Xu Kuangdi of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Academicians to visit Yuchai. His excellent presentation attracted thunderous applauses. President Xu Kuangdi advised the entrepreneur representatives to keep a clear mind and a sense of crisis. In his speech, he mentioned Yuchai in case studying for a number of times, illustrating his appreciation to the achievements and the leading role of Yuchai in the industry.  

The symposium was co-hosted by Chinese Academy of Engineering and China Industry News. President Xu Kuangdi, vice presidents of Pan Yunhe and Wu Guoquan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Academicians Wang Liheng, Zhu Gaofeng and Yin Ruiyu, leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, proprieter of China Industry News Press Chen Wei and chief editor Yang Qing attended the event.
