Yuchai held a conference to study the concept of Scientific Development at the meeting room in Dongli Tower in the morning of March 30. The people attended the meeting included high level managers of Yuchai Group and Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., leaders of the headquarter of the Group, its subsidiaries and every department of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., presidents of trade unions branches of the Group, directors of branches of women workers committee, all members of the office of directing panel of the study of the Scientific Development, the delegates CCP and CCP Youth League. Leader of the Yulin Directing and Inspection Team of the Study and Practice Activity Liang Huankun, deputy secretary of Yuchai Group Li Tiansheng, Zhang Jiasha, Party secretary of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. Liang Ping, deputy secretary Guo Deming attended the conference. The conference was hosted by Liang Ping.

Chairman of CCP committee of Yuchai Group Yan Ping, who was on a business trip aboard at the time, sent a message to the conference. In the message he said that the activity to study and practice of the concept of Scientific Development was needed to arm all Party members and leaders with the latest theoretical achievements of localization of Marxism and set up the new concept of Scientific Development. It is the need to fight crisis, increase internal strength to push the healthy and sustained development of Yuchai. It is the need to strengthen the Party building of Yuchai by following the trend of times and reformative and innovative spirit. It is the need to work on the fundamental mission of the Party, carry out the human-centered principle and build a harmonious Yuchai. He required leaders of all Party branches and units to understand the significance of the activity and pay high attention to put all arrangement of the central government and superior Party agency in place. During the study and practice, leaders of all Party branches and units should take the responsibility and make well arrangement in order to guarantee the promotions of the study and their own work and achieve positive results. 

Zhang Jiasha read the documents of the CCP Central Committee, CCP Guangxi Committee and CCP Yulin Committee on the  study of the concept of Scientific Development and outlined the overall planning for the campaign in Yuchai. She pointed out the general objectives for the activities. They were: understand the ideology, enhance the corporate strength, resolve the difficulty in the development, improve the management mechanism and strengthen the structural building; stay on the principles of open mind, pragmatic features, close to the people, positive education oriented and overall planning with all factors into consideration during the implementation. She said the key to the activity is to solve issues and produce positive effects. Yuchai should be committed to issues concerning the healthy development of the business, upgrade independent innovative capacity, the quality of leaders, livelihood of people and environmental protection. The activity, consisting of 3 phases --study and research; analysis and inspection; modification and implementation, started from March 2009 and will be closed in this August principally. Finally, Zhang Jiasha laid out detailed plans to each phase.   

Lv Huankun highly appreciated the conference and said that the well prepared conference, which had been given huge attention from Yuchai leadship, showed good discipline and conduct of Yuchai employees. The plans produced at the conference were close to reality and considerate. He proposed 2 points to the campaign. They were: 1. to well organize and actively participate in the activity, and take initiative to complete the scheduled steps; 2. to arm themselves with theory to guide the practice and work, gain more knowledge and conduct research in the basic organizations in order to promote every job, push the activity forward and make results.
