Recently, with its strong independent innovation capacity and leading R&D strength in the industry, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. passed the strict examination of Chinese high-tech enterprise certification to become one of the state-level high-tech enterprises. Yuchai Heavy Industry, one of the subsidiary of Yuchai Group also received the certification.   

The process for certification of Chinese high-tech enterprise includes procedures of application, preliminary examination, Q&A, approval and notification to the public with the criteria of the independent intellectual property rights of core technologies, the proportion of highly educated technical personnel, revenue of high-tech products and corporate R&D expenditure proportion over the past 3 years. The certification is subject to reexamination in 3 years.

Being the leader of the development of green industry, Yuchai has successfully launched the first home made State IV and State V engines with independent intellectual property rights. It added pride to the national brands when it became the sole domestic engine supplier to win the majority of orders for State IV engines for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Yuchai has obtained 449 patents over the past 3 years. It has been listed into the 3^rd Batch of National Experimental Units of Corporate Independent Intellectual Property Rights and its Engineering Research Institute was titled the National Model Unit of the Patent System. Its dynamic professional technical team has 63 senior specialists, 18 PhDs and more than 100 technicians with master's degree, as well as state-level corporate technology centers and accredited laboratories. Its annual R&D budget reaches around 230 million Yuan, accounting for 23 of the whole sales revenues, atop the leading level in the industry.  Its strength made it pass the certification of Chinese high-tech enterprise indisputably.   

The certification will not only enable Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd to enjoy the preferential low income tax rate, but also promote the influence of Yuchai brand, benefit the independent innovation capability and stimulate the upgrade of industry.
