To build new brand advantage
Facing the gloomy domestic and global economies and intensifying market competition, Yuchai, the leader of domestic bus engine industry, took the advantage of the chance to show its high quality products, top level R&D and technology strength to foster the brand edge of the company in the diesel engine industry, one employee of Yuchai said. Yuchai is a large manufacturer of engines and pays high attention to the technology upgrade and products R&D. Yuchai was the first company in domestic commercial vehicles industry to launch State IV and State V diesel engines that was 5 years ahead of the enforcement of corresponding standards to meet the demand of green and environmentally-friendly power. In order to improve the technical of the engines, Yuchai built a strong R&D team. Currently, over 30 people with PhD degrees joined the R&D team of State IV diesel engines. They offer a strongly guarantee to the high quality of the new products.
The State V diesel engine is special
As the symbol of Yuchais leading technology, the 1st home made State V diesel engine YC

-50 was a spotlight at the show. According to introduction, the engine with a power range of 180kW240kW and a maximum torque range of 950N. m1280N. m was wholly independently developed by Yuchai. Based on the low fuel consumption and low emission of State III YC

40, the series further reduces 50% NOx by further combustion optimization and after treatment calibration strategies. It adds SCR calibration strategy applicable to the driving condition in urban transit system to the after treatment central unit (ACU) that is self developed by Yuchai to enhance the low temperature conversion efficiency. It lowers more NOx and particles when the urban buses run at low speed resulting from frequent starts. Apart from achieving State V standards, it has the advantages of compact structure, power efficacy, high acceleration and reliability. 80% of its parts are inter-changeable with YC

30 State III engine. Yuchai promises a 300,000 kilometers warranty which further cuts the maintenance costs of the products.
New energy bus engines shined brilliantly
The oil-electric hybrid power CKZ6116HEV3 bus and gas-electric hybrid power CKZ6116HENV3 bus won the Hybrid Power Bus Award and

Energy-saving and Environmentally-friendly Bus Award from the show. Their engines--Yuchai YC6J200-30 and YC6J210N-30 attracted huge attention of the industry. According to report, the YC6J mono-fuel engine that is co-developed by Yuchai and ECI of the
US
for urban transport and uses SPI system of ECI has the advantages of high reliability, low noise, low gas consumption, low noise and easy maintenance.
Along with the popular trend of energy-saving and environmental protection, Yuchai is committed to the R&D of oil-electric and gas-electric hybrid buses. Based on the advanced hybrid technology introduced from US Eaton, Yuchai joined hands with Hengtong Bus Co and Dongfeng Automotive Research Institute to develop the 1st home made gas-electrical hybrid bus in
China
--CKZ6116HENV3. The bus saves about 30% gas compare with traditional

CNG buses. The result from national inspection showed that its energy efficiency ratio reached up to 22.9% and it dropped

emissions and saved around 10, 000 cubic meters gas annually. The gas-electric hybrid system assembled in urban buses, which has entered into the Torch Projects of Ministry of Science and Technology, represents the latest leading energy-saving automotive technology in the world. The debut of the new auto models received strong responses from the industry. It is a big improvement step of Chinese environmentally-friendly bus technology.
