The Trade Union of the Cooling Process Plant of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. was named the Model Unit for the work of the employees health insurance. Three leaders of Yuchai employee unions Tan Lin, Zhu Qisheng and Chen Xinghua were awarded the Model Individual for the work of the employees health insurance at the Conference of the Work of Employees health insurance & 2008 Recognition to the Work of Employees health insurance that was held by the Federation of Trade Unions of Yulin city on April 24.   

Leaders of Yuchai CCP committee and administrative authority paid great attention to the employees health insurance plan of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Starting from 2005, trade unions of Yuchai organized their employees to join the plan and set aside their own limited funds to cover half of the premium of employees for the plan, totaling over 100 thousand Yuan. Some union branches, including the Trade Union of Cooling Process Plant that has had all its 1,441 eligible employees joined the plan. They even successfully got their units to pay the other half premium that should be paid by employees. Since 2005, over 30, 000 persons have joined the employees health insurance plan. Nineteen staff that got severe illnesses have received over 270, 000 Yuan from the fund.  

Yuchai put its employees first. In recent years, Chairman Yan Ping and other leaders showed great concern to employees, and ask the Trade Union to take care of employees and put their health on the top of its agenda. In addition, unions are told to represent the interest of employees and protect their rights, and put a close eye on the disadvantageous groups to help them. With the focus on the life of employees, trade unions at all levels have always put the top priority to the benefits of employees, improved the working mechanism and provided helpful service to employees. Especially, unions are willing to pay large amounts of funding for the health of employees and the improvement of the multi-level insurance plan. Currently, Yuchai has a series of funds to help employees. They are: the Special Assistance Fund for Yuchai Employees in Difficulty, Special Fund for Severe Illness Assistance, Mutual Supplement Insurance Fund for Employees, Educational Fund for Yuchai Employees Kids, Yan Ping Love and Care Fund for Education, etc. Over the past 3 years, Yuchai Group has given 147, 400 Yuan for Yan Ping Love and Care Fund for Education, 328, 000 Yuan for Educational Fund for Yuchai Employees Kids and over 3.7 million Yuan for Special Fund for Severe Illness Assistance (including for employees in difficulty).
