Recently, Taian Aerospace Special Vehicle Co., Ltd and Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd co-hosted the delivery ceremony for special mining vehicles assembled with Yuchai engines at the Xiaodao Base of Qinghai to hand over 4 mining vehicles to users. Additionally, they signed orders for another over 10 vehicles on site.  

Vice general manager of Taian Aerospace Special Vehicle Co., Ltd. Zhang Xiduo and deputy manager of Truck Department of Yuchai Sales Co., Ltd. Zhang Peng respectively briefed the features of the products at the ceremony. The vehicles will mainly be used in an open-cut coal mine site that is about 4,300 meters above sea level. Over 30 other vehicles could not be delivered  on time due to short supply of Taian Aerospace Special Vehicle Co., Ltd. They would be sent to customers in May.

According to the feedbacks of users, engines for mining vehicles should have the ability to process the bad air with thick dusts in the mining area that will reduce the failure rate of the engine and increase the run time of the vehicles. In the past, they didnt use the domestic dump carts mainly because most domestic mining vehicles used imported engines. The costs of the vehicles and components were relatively high. The users worried about the parts and after sales services. Yuchai launched the engines for mining vehicles that would cut the cost of the vehicles and parts. Users told that they would put the mining vehicles equipped with Yuchai engines as the top choice.

The market share of mining vehicles is on the stable increase in recent years owing to their well performances on the roads of mining areas, wet lands, billabongs and mud-rock flows. They are suitable in large projects including mining, water conservancy and road construction. They have the advantages of high attendance, efficiency and safety, as well doubled profits. Yuchai particularly designed the professional engine models to meet the special working condition of the mining vehicles. It filled the gap of the engine for mining vehicles. The engines adopt four-valve technology and mid-injector technology that lowed fuel consumption. The present models for mining vehicles mainly include YC6T and YC 6M with a power range of 280-600 hp and a torque range of 1180-2500N.m.
