Human-centered management of Yuchai ignites the passion of employees

During interviewing model workers at the maintenance center of the cooling processing plant of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. in the afternoon of April 29, the reporter noticed that employees came to the management office of the workshop in small groups. They registered their names on a book and then took a pack of milk to drink from the refrigerator. You have milk to drink on duty? the reporter was puzzled. One young worker laughed: Its the nutrition drink that the company forces us to drink.

Yuchai places the livelihood of employees on top of its agenda. And the milk sending to employee offers look inside the companys human-centered management. Understanding the working intensity of the large-scale production, the company decided to buy milk for workers to strengthen their health. The company firstly bought each employee one case of milk a month. Later the company found that many employees did not drink the milk but took it home to feed their children, which did not meet the purpose of the company. So, the milk is distributed to the workshops. Each employee is entitled to one pack a day and they need to make registration before drinking. All employees at the front lines of production are required to drink milk.

A small pack of milk showed employees at the front lines the care of the leaders. They were encouraged and work harder. According to report, Yuchai received 75,000 and 70,000 orders for engines in March and April respectively. The orders were expected to be about 45,000 in May. In March and April, over 60,000 engines were sold each month.
