Chairman of Yuchai Group Yan Ping, along with chief coach of Guangxi Hualan Weiqi team and former chairman of Chinese Weiqi Association Chen Zhude, chairman of Guangxi Hualan Group Lei Xiang and others were elected as the 2008 Top 10 Figures of Hualan Weiqi at the 2009 Annual Conference of Hualan Weiqi on May 9. Attendants of the conference included director of the Management Center of Chess and Cards Games under General Administration of Sports of China Liu Siming, vice chairman of Guangxi Peoples Political Consultative Conference Li Kang, as well as media nationwide and a large number of enterprises of Guangxi.

The 19th round of 2008 Chinese Weiqi League Tournament was successfully hosted by Yuchai Group on Dec. 4^th, 2008. It promoted the influence of Yuchai in China . At the round Hualan Weiqi team won the first match of 2009 by 4:0.
