Yuchai got some other good news recently when the sales were rebound in the first quarter of this year. It was that Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. and Yuchai Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. passed the evaluation of Chinese high-tech enterprise certification to become the state-level high-tech enterprises. It is another milestone achieved by Yuchai in implementing the core value of green development and win-win in harmony.

Core value creates good quality 

Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group said: since green development and win-win in harmony is the core value of Yuchai, the company had to take an active role in implementing the energy-saving and environmental protection policies, and be the leader of Chinese green power, and the controller of the largest mobile pollution.  

Yuchai Group is the largest independent production base of diesel engines in the world. It has an annual productivity and sales volume of 600,000 diesel engines and 10,000 units of medium- & small-sized construction machinery. It is known as the Chinese capital of green power. As the leader of the development of green industry, Yuchai has successfully launched the first home made State IV and State V engines with independent intellectual property rights. Yuchai takes the lead to develop the green products with independent intellectual property rights to upgrade the China s internal-combustion engine products.  

Yuchai has obtained 449 patents over the past 3 years. It has been listed into the 3^rd Group of National Experimental Units of Corporate Independent Intellectual Property Rights. Its Engineering Research Institute was titled the National Model Unit of the Patent System. Yuchai was benefited hugely from the R&D and independent innovations.

To be the leader of green power  

Under the pressure of deteriorating global environment, Yuchai introduced the concept of green development and win-win in harmony to protect the ecological system and building a good industrial chain. It is transforming from made in China to created in China and from industrial manufacturing to green manufacturing. Yan Ping added that Yuchai was going to expand cooperation with OEMs and suppliers to fight the difficulties and jointly win the market. At the same time, even with great difficulties Yuchai continued supporting charities and assumed the leader of green power. He stressed that the Group was to pump 25 billion Yuan into the technical upgrade and expansion in the next 5 years. The scheduled 3 billion Yuan investment to technical upgrading for this year would not be reduced even under the current financial crisis.
