Recently, Shuanghuan SUV assembled with Yuchai 4F engine passed the emission test for State IV vehicles. It became the 1^st domestically and independently developed passenger vehicle engine that passed the State IV emission test. It shows that Yuchai achieved a huge step in the development of passenger vehicles and supporting parts.    

The development of passenger vehicles using diesel engines is still at the early stage in China . It has different development idea from the commercial vehicles as it take into account not only the performance and emission of the engine itself but also the emission of the whole vehicle, as well as the power, cost-effective, driving convenience of the car. For many years, Yuchai has been committed to the R&D of diesel engines for passenger vehicles. The Yuchai 4F was used on Shuanghuan SUV in 2008 successfully and put into market in the same year.
