I declare that the 2009 Nationwide Inter-regional Wheat Harvest starts! Sun Zhencai, Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture announced at the opening ceremony of the 2009 Nationwide Inter-regional Wheat Harvest. The ceremony was held in Zhumadian city of Henan Province in the morning of May 26, 2009. Immediately after his announcement, hundreds of harvesting machines roared to the golden waves of wheat fields. Over 30 staff from the Customer Service Center of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., Yuchai Henan Office, and Yuchai Service Station in Zhumadian city attended the ceremony. Tens of harvesting machines assembled with Yuchai agricultural engines were the bright spots at the ceremony.   

Being one of the major grain production provinces, Henan produces one fourth of the grain of China . Its production of grain has exceeded 50 billion kg and has set records for the past 5 years in a row. The agricultural engines produced by Yuchai have now been adopted by more than 70,000 harvesting machines from about 30 at the beginning of its introduction in 2001. The engine of Yuchai Machinery becomes the first choice for agricultural machinery makers. With the financial crisis spreading, harvesting machines assembled with Yuchai engines still sold about 18,000 from Jan. to May this year. One reason for the good sale is that the central government pumped 13 billion Yuan to subsidize agricultural machinery.

The huge number of 440,000 harvesting machines which 280,000 are for inter-regional use will bring huge convenience to the farmers. However, the long time rains post some difficulties to the summer harvesting. The wheat will be wasted if not harvested on time. Yuchai has made careful arrangements to ensure the harvesting machines work properly during the harvesting It provided a manual of maintenance of Yuchai agricultural engines, the Yuchai 2009 summer harvest service contacts and other information, and carried the services with the theme of Yuchai serves farmers and help farmers increase incomes to offer the best service to users in the shortest time.  

The service conference of 2009 summer harvest was held at Yuchai on May 22. During the conference, specific service works were assigned to individuals. Regarding to the problems of new harvesting machines, new operators and un-equal harvest time Yuchai explained the common engine failures and troubleshooting carefully. About 10 technicians have been dispatched to Zhumadian city from Yulin to offer technical support for the nationwide summer harvest.

We will do our best to guarantee the harvest. General Manager of Yuchai Service Station in Zhumadian city Han Jinggang said at the ceremony. The brand of Yuchai is very famous. Yuchai is the model of many other companies. Han quitted the golden position in the government and set up the Yuchai Service Station in Zhumadian city. The station had been named one of the best service stations for many years. He becomes a famous figure in the city in just a few years. He told the reporter that the service team of Yuchai has strict disciplines and professionalism. They provide users with reliable products and services. In 2009, I invested 12 million Yuan to a project. The project will make us to become a service station with an international level to serve Yuchai State III and State IV engines. He added.
