Chairman of the Board and party secretary of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd. Yan Ping was titled the Excellent Entrepreneur of West China at the 2009 Forum of Economic Development of West China for his outstanding contributions to the local economy. Under the theme of scientific development, entrepreneurship and innovation, the forum was organized by the Association of Research and Development of West China and was opened in Anshun city of Guizhou Province on May 23. Some famous experts and scholars were invited as the evaluation committee. Vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and president of the Association of Research and Development of West China Li Meng gave an important speech and presented the awards to winners at the forum.   

Known as the Capital of Chinese green power, Yuchai Group is located in Yulin city of Guangxi .  Along with its splendid growth history, it has helped the development of economy of Yulin substantially. Yuchai Group headed by Yan Ping has contributed tremendously to local economy.

Yan Ping bravely made innovations to inject huge power to the sustainability of the company. He introduced the corporate concept of excellent quality and Yuchai globalization. He led Yuchai march on the path of green development, scientific development, harmonious development and rapid development to achieve the mission of making Yuchai a famous brand in the world and building Yuchai a large corporation. In 2008, Yuchai reached the goal of to build another Yuchai in 3 years with a record-breaking sales income of 21 billion Yuan and a sales volume of 550,000 engines. The sales and production maintained the top of the domestic industry. The export of Yuchai excavators reached 952 of which the excavators under 15 tons ranked the first place in the nation. In the meantime, the construction of Yuchai Industrial Park offered a boost to the local industry. Yuchai provided human resources, technical and other supports to local suppliers to achieve win-win development. 

Yan Ping is also a responsible entrepreneur in bear social responsibility. Yuchai dedicated to be an excellent corporate citizen. For many years, Yuchai has been committed to many charities, such as poverty relief, student funding, difficulty and disaster relief, as well as cultural and sports events. A total of over 500 million Yuan has been pumped into the activities. In 2008, Yuchai joined the Global Compact of the UN, released the Yuchai 2007 sustainable development report, attended the panel discussions of ISO social responsibility, and signed up social responsibility commitment with partners. In May this year, it released Yuchai 2008 sustainable development report.  

Even with the global financial crisis, Yan Ping led Yuchai to make a rebound against the downward market trend and scored another Yuchai miracle. From Jan. to May this year, Yuchai Group achieved a sales income of 10.9 billion Yuan. It was up 3.36 compared to the same period of last year. It sold 316,000 engines. It was up 3.1 compared to the same period of last year.
