The selection of 2008 Golden Bee Corporate Social ResponsibilityChina was concluded recently. The selection was followed the procedures of survey, evaluation and on-site checking, as well as the final evaluation by the Committee of Golden Bee corporate social responsibility. Yuchai was selected from 352 enterprises from 22 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions to win the Golden BeeResponsible Purchasing Award.

Liang Ping, the party secretary of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. spoken at the ceremony after receiving the award. He said: the award was the recognition of the community to Yuchai for its practice of the core concept of green development and win-win in harmony and the corporate social responsibility. Yuchai would continue to follow the idea of the harmonious coexistence between bees and nature to achieve a harmonious win-win situation with the supply chain system.
Yuchai is going to staying on the core concept of green development and win-win in harmony and is going to promote the social responsibility to the upstream and downstream industrial chain and to forge a win-win mode to gain mutual progress through the establishment of YC strategic alliance. Yuchai has done the follow steps to response to the enforcement of the new Labor Law, the increasing prices of raw materials and the higher production costs of suppliers: built the joint technological cost reduction project and used special protective approaches for new products of suppliers to share the costs to honor the social responsibility together; offered technical supports including joint technical research and dispatching professionals and technologies to factories to increase the suppliers ability to honor social responsibility ability. Yuchai signed the social responsibility agreement with suppliers starting from 2006. At the 2009 Yuchai Machinery Marketing Service Conference, Yuchai signed the commitment of social responsibility with upstream suppliers, downstream OEMs, distributors and service providers. The commitment guaranteed a large number of upstream and downstream enterprises to honestly fulfill their social responsibility.
In addition to the release of <2008 Benchmark Report of the Fulfillment of Corporate Social Responsibility of China> and the winners of 2008 Golden Bee Corporate Social ResponsibilityChina, the 4th International Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility was held at the conference. Attendants shared their views on 6 key topics. The 6 key topics are the economic crises and corporate social responsibility, the latest developments in corporate social responsibility in Europe and the United States, the governments role in corporate social responsibility, the practice of Golden Bee enterprises in corporate responsibility and promotion, the human resources strategy under the economic crisis, and the social responsibility management for the global supply chain. The chief of the International Labor and Information Institute under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security Zhang Junfeng, vice-director of China Enterprise Confederation and China Entrepreneurs Association Liu Peng, Managing partner of Deloitte Chinas Human Capital Advisor Wang Dawei and party secretary of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. Liang Ping attended the Forum. Liang Ping gave a speech on how enterprises get through the difficulties and use the motivation of staff to strengthen their sense of trust and loyalty.
The Chinese version of the Portal for Responsible Supply Chain Management Website was opened during the conference. The show of the Golden Bee enterprises and top sustainable development advertisements show. as well as the NGO projects show of Golden Bee Commonwealth Collection were held at the same time. Yuchai was included in as the outstanding organization show of 2008 Golden Bee Corporate Social ResponsibilityChina and was included in the show of Golden Bee outstanding organizations.
