The first investment of Yuchai after Sichuan earthquake yielded fruitful results. The ribbon-cutting ceremony of the first marine engine YC 9L 210 was held by Yuchai Machinery Ziyang Engine Co., Ltd in Ziyang city on June 9. Member of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial CCP Committee and CCP secretary of Sichuan State-owned Assets Supervision & Administration Commission Wang Shaoxiong attended the ceremony.  

Yuchai and CSR Ziyang Locomotive Co., Ltd. signed the joint venture agreement to produce diesel engine on May 17, 2008. To advance the landmark disaster relief project smoothly, Ziyang specially opened an office to promote the project, providing service to the whole course of the project. Less than a year since the agreement signing, the first high-power marine engine was successful produced. It marked the beginning of Yuchai Group in entering into the large-size marine engine market.  

Following the production of marine diesel engine, Yuchai Group is going to develop and produce low-power automotive diesel engines.
